Slovakia National Football Team

The Slovakia national football team is the national football team of Slovakia and is controlled by the Slovak Football Association (Slovenský futbalovy zväz). After the division of Czechoslovakia, the Slovak Football Association was founded in 1993, and has been affiliated to both FIFA and UEFA since the same year. On October 14, 2009, Slovakia qualified for its first-ever World Cup appearance with a 1-0 win over Poland, despite losing twice to runners-up Slovenia.
