Brunei DPMM FC (Singapore)

Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club (DPMM FC) is a football (soccer) club from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. Despite being a club from Brunei, they play in the Singapore S. League.

DPMM FC is owned by the crown prince of Brunei, His Royal Highness Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah. The Prince himself used to be a goalkeeper for the club.
Despite being officially established in 2000, DPMM FC actually started out as a college football team somewhere in 1994. After being the most successful team in college, most of the college's talented players joined DPMM FC and the club became even more stronger and well established.
Since 2004, DPMM FC were invited by the Football Association of Singapore to participate in the Singapore Cup.
In 2005, DPMM FC joined the Malaysian Premier League (Malaysian 2nd division). In the first attempt, the team manage to gain promotion into the Malaysian Super League (Malaysian top league). The following season after gaining promotion (2006/2007 season), DPMM FC finished 3rd in the Malaysian Super League.
In 2009, DPMM joined the S-League, the domestic football league in Singapore, after getting kicked out the Malaysian Super League for the 2009 season due to the deregisteration of BAFA (Brunei Amateur Football Association) by the Registrar of Societies (RoS). They will be playing their home matches in Brunei, making them the first S-League club to be based outside Singapore.
